Warming Up for Tomorrow Edition

What a day last night was. The first session of the group's new DND campaign turned out to be more of a very extended tutorial to get reintroduced to the game. Or perhaps introduced for the first time, given how completely unfamiliar many of them were with the basics. There was also a horrible voice that we can only hope will be toned down by the next session and while it wasn't a super interesting first episode it all paid off at the finale. Having barely gotten a grasp of the mechanics they were thrust into a boss fight, and immediately had to sing its praises for simple, but effective communication of mechanics. Unlike a certain other DND boss fight this one was easily bested, and it left the group feeling good about themselves. No tears this time. You'll have to wait until the next session to see the plot continue in earnest, but it is very much a meme campaign so don't expect anything overly serious from this one.

Also last night: two new 3D debuts! Beginning with Silver, who debuted a new model based off of her current Live2D. It looks really great, has wonderful... assets, and was very faithfully recreated from the 2D it was based on. Most of the stream after was catching up on a spooky video playlist, but that's also a great use of a 3D model's better facial tracking. Later on Mouse also debuted her new 3D demon queen form! It looks very nice, and while the tracking may not be on par with some of her other 3D models it's still a great one to the repertoire and it could be making more appearances soon. And even if you don't care about new 3D debuts she did quite a bit of singing as well, and that's always nice to see.

Nice as yesterday was, we're in for a bit of a slow one today. Long-missing Hime plans on streaming tomorrow as she has finally finished moving, but today's biggest news comes from Zen. Some points about yesterday were clarified, but there was also an announcement for an upcoming redesign. A very small snippet of a design was shown, and everyone's money is on something robotic. Whether that's a full-on mecha or just some kind of cyber punk who's to say, but that could be out in December or early next year!
