part of the jester's charm to me is that even in the confines of his character there's massive self awareness and intentionally playing up just how worthless and pathetic he is, he can turn his retardation off while maintaining full kayfabe, he just usually doesn't since he's fully aware there's no need. there are characters (and streamers) that are so deeply incapable of self reflection or ability to choose how stupid they act because they're at the core too retarded to live. that isn't bettel to me. but yes he's mostly incompetent, so i guess it's a matter of i don't have the words to differentiate what i mean. the water heater thing cracks me up to this day
