Ame revealed her EQ settings on stream before. Her GoXLR setup cuts a sizable amount of her lower frequencies off partially because she prefers herself to sound like that and partially to remove background noise(I remember when I was isolating audio before that her background in the early days had a persistent humming noise at around 220 hz).
Kiara uses the SM7B which not only has increased frequency response in the 2K to 5K hz range (coincidentally the range which people associate with "screechy" sounds like nails on a chalkboard), the SM7B even has something misleadingly labelled as Presence Boost (which Kiara might misleadingly take for granted as a Good Thing) which AMPS this even more (nearly 6db! Which equals to a doubling of loudness there!) I don't know if Kiara has it all, but all of these factors combined could explain why she sounds like that on her normal streaming setup as opposed to the kitchen setup.
