magic one has been there a while and has history to back it up but youtubers and streamers massively inflated it and expanded it. they werent just "investing", they completely ignored the reality of card collected and flat out lied or omitted important details
people would claim to pull super expensive cards, never sleeve them or handle them improperly, viewers would go nuts and TCG boosters and stuff literally could not be found in many places.
