Man I went all over. Akihabara of course because it's like hololive merch central. Shibuya honestly was one of my favorite places in tokyo, as someone from the US, because it was kinda shitty and run down in the way US cities are. If your a drinker Golden Gai at night is one of the most pleasant 4 block of bars I've ever been too, it's 4 blocks of bars that can seat like 6 people max each, super intimate and charming.
After exploring Tokyo like that I went south and visited a bunch of temples. Nara park is kinda tourist trap, but it's got Hella temples all over including the largest Buddha statue in the world, also a bunch of silly tiny deer. Inari where I went today was just beautiful, it's a thousand small shrines and tori gates all on a mountain side. Yasaka Shrine was actually my personal favorite as it was a little bit less crowded when I went so I could have a very leisurely stroll along the grounds.
Honestly I could have spent my whole time in either Tokyo or Kyoto just bumbling around and been entertained, I only got to go to half the places I wanted to.
