I kind of want to write a story where you meet a struggling single mother called Marine. The two of you go on a few dates, and she eventually introduces you to her daughter Aqua. Aqua doesn't trust you at all and never talks to you, not only because she's extremely shy, but also because the other men Aqua's mother had tried entering a relationship with always ended up leaving and hurting her. But you genuinely love Marine and want Aqua to become a part of your family as well, so once Marine decides to move in with you, you do everything you can to treat her like your real daughter. Some ideas I had were:
>Lining up in a long queue for hours early in the morning to get her the limited edition copy of a game.
>Helping Aqua with her homework
>Taking her to an event she really wanted to go to when Marine can't make it
Anyway, off it goes to the "workshop in my mind but never actually write" pile.
