I can see the patterns in what you linked. I do feel that I have a good community myself but I have a lot of wonderful people to thank for that. Still it’s not everyone’s cup of tea for sure.

I’m usually not one for interest-based Discords though, I’m not sure why. I guess I’m just really picky with who I spend my time with so it feels like a bit of a gamble. Probably based subconsciously on how much I struggled with local communities based on my interests. I have a lot of bad stories there haha..

I am always worried that me lurking/not being active in someone’s Discord will make them think I’m so not there for clout or something when the truth is that my social battery is small and I have a job that often needs me to focus on the task at hand. Unless it’s a meeting lmao
