To the anon last thread who mentioned Simulacra and Simulation and vtubers, I actually am familiar with the book, however I don't think it is really that deep when it comes to vtubers because in the grand scheme of things it's just one corner of the internet in which people base their identity around artificial actions. Simply logging in and posting a sliver of your identity with an icon is already depending on the artificial
It is interesting to think about but I don't see much point in it since society will never move away from curating ones identity around the artificial. It may be impossible. Like even your medical records fit under his definition of artificial.
