Recently the merch anon posted numbers for VSPO merch, one of their middle of the pack girls brought in a revenue north of 150k USD on a single merch run, which makes it evident that, for the current vtuber companies, donations is "tip" money, a nice sugar on top but not as crucial for their daily operations as it was in 2020.
