At this point, no, I don't think so. While carrying the financial risk of poor sales, in exchange record labels take a notoriously large cut, and most of the professional musicians of the world make their living through concert tickets and merch sales. The labels can ensure you get quality professionals working at a quality studio, but Suisei seems to have already made the industry contacts for that, so it's not something they can offer to her. They also have marketing power: big labels can practically order radio stations to put your song on powerplay, and plaster adverts all around the country, but that assumes they actually care enough about your stuff to do that and there's always a new starlet getting hired. Similarly they can convince stores to buy your album, but if the stores are left with unsold stock, good luck getting a similar push ever again unless you're alredy established or a cigar's favourite which Suisei very much isn't. And to be quite honest, skillswise Suisei is still at the very low end of a big label roster, there is no reason to think they'd give her a second chance should they ever overestimate her popularity. Things are a bit better under a small label, but they don't have the same muscle to bully radio stations or buy advertising space, so Cover might actually be able to shill Suisei more than a mid-sized label can. In fact, Cover might be trying to shape itself into something of a record label and Suisei is one of the faces of their music side and hence might be getting preferential treatment which she isn't going to get elsewhere. From what I've seen, big Holos seem to outsell reasonably popular rock bands and other such small-to-medium label types, although those probably have a bigger sales tail that doesn't show up on Oricon and thus might sell more on a longer perspective.
