Cover is a shareholder-driven business venture which basically sells emotional blackmail. Everything, from the lyrics of songs to who's allowed to collab with whom to the calls of who gets hired or fired are made by a cabal of desiccated sociopathic shareholders who wouldn't give half a gram of shit if every girl was run over by a wheat-thresher and the survivors skullripped by the fucking Predator as long as shilling their funeral-merch made their shares worth 15 cents more at the end of the financial year. The popularity of any individual girls means jack-shit because they know damn well that if one gets knocks off, you'll just jump to one of the other idols. The girls are viewed as expendable assets, which is why said corporation honestly doesn't give a fuck about overworking them to the point of exhaustion/health breakdowns.
