Yeah the discussion of fighting game difficulty is always mired in people not getting that timing is 90% of what makes combos hard. 1 button inputs feel nice for beginners cause press button = something cool happen, but really only solve the issue of 10 minutes of training mode. Though really most casuals can be easily tricked, Strive butchered GG but is still "hard" by most video game standards. Zoomies eat it up cause new pretty game said it was easy now!
