I've had an idea rolling around in my head based on a prompt posted ages ago where (You) are a survivalist living in the woods after the collapse of civilization and take in a chuuba who happens to stumble into one of your traps. Except instead of WW3 like in HC it's a monster invasion in the vein of Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead. I figured the combination of extradimensional anomalies, mutagens and cybernetics could all go a long way towards explaining the presence of elves, catgirls, Roboco, etc.
