I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing with my life and fear making the wrong decision so I do nothing and piss away all the time I was afraid of pissing away.

I'm torn on picking up a low wage/low skill but flexible job or one that actually uses my qualifications/experience and pays real $, but would require actual commitment. I need to do a certification process to move onto what I want to do, but said process could take 2 weeks - 6 months and has a risk of not passing it. I'd hate finding and taking a job to quit 4 months in, but if things don't work out I'll heavily regret not trying to find a more serious job.
