Assuming wired for desktop use iff you're cheap and want something for about $50 or less then get the samson sr850 or superlux hd681 and buy a more comfy aftermarket earpad set for like $15. They are open back and feel like they're made of recycled dollar store toys but sound great. If you want cheap closed backs I've heard a lot of good things about akg k52s but haven't tried them myself.
