/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

The whole phenomena is honestly amazing, a few days ago I zoomed out of a stream and realized what we're living now is straight out of a Sci-Fi novel, being able to animate a virtual avatar as a replacement of our faces and, with enough money time and willpower our entire body.
I doubt anyone can accurately predict what's going to come but if I had to guess we were at peak popularity in december 2020 and it's now slowly normalizing to more organic numbers. However just like the first people that came are getting tired or realizing they just followed a fad, it's becoming an important icon of internet culture.
Just like with the first youtube videos, I think we'll go from regular talking streams, minecraft gameplays and fads to more specialized channels that will have their own niche public.
Tldr: big channels will keep going down, however you'll start seeing a lot of smaller channels have their own audience.
