Hololive was contained to one thread (hlg) for the longest time. Then hlgg was created due to HoloEN's debut. Even then they pretty much still stuck to their 2 threads. Sometimes they'd get stickies for debuts though.
It was the /qa/ raid that fucked up the status quo and flooded the board with vtuber spam. The meidos took that opportunity to test if they should create a board for vtubers and thus /jp/ turned into a testing ground for this.
Most of the resentment that non-chuuba /jp/ has towards holofags or vtuber fans in general was due to that time period. I think a lot of you guys talk out of your ass and spread rrats when you don't know what you're talking about.
