It’s more than getting the dick hard, otherwise there is porn for that. In VTubing, there is a cuteness factor, and just preferring anime girls. Some of it is idol-like too, while men have a more difficult time idolizing other men since I that feels gay. There are many factors at play here.

VTubing males have failed in the West for multiple reasons, and not any single reason in particular.
