So. Magni lore about trying to get back his totally not Axel lover from the dead by cloning. The failures ending up as magmites and eventually he perishes as well. Magmites continue his work and eventually figure out how to make pretty dang good clones, the only problem is that they are cloning the version of Magni that was already weakening. WHAT IF. They also cloned Magni's dead lover? They were successful since the version was in good health, ending up with Axel. Of course the clone isn't exact so Magni wouldn't recognize him. Axmag is a tragedy and I love it
