Flare doesn't want a bow and arrow weapon in ANYTHING, she was talking about this as recently as 2 weeks ago. She says she can't interact with anything fan created that has her with a bow unless she mentions the bow issue because she doesn't want to be seen as silently accepting the bow using elf image. She even says she is scared to use them in video games she plays because then people will associate her with the bow, she hates it that much. And in her official figurine, but in the above clip she brings those both up and says they weren't her decision and aren't what she wanted, saying it isn't part of her own model sheet or character design. She appears to especially blame the anime teaser for cementing the "Bow Harassment" in the minds of people.

There is a fan video game in the style of Megaman about Flare and Shiraken coming out tomorrow. Originally in the demo she used a bow but they changed it later so she uses two guns now instead. Makes sense, since it is a fan game and they want to make her happy.

Well in the serious talk she had about it a few weeks ago she did bring up fire magic as an alternative to bows but it seems to be in desperation to replace the bow image with anything else, because a year ago she was saying the opposite and saying that she is just named Flare but doesn't have anything to do with fire magic and can't use it.
