He's firm with his fanbase without sounding preachy, he has a cute voice and cute laugh, cute doodles, very helpful to his friends and gave advice to them that isn't just "chin up be happy", has shown improvement with his streaming anxiety, has a good relationship with his family but also doesn't tell us too much about them as I don't need to know a vtubers entire life, is book-smart, is salty, is close to my age, and I like his brainless rambles when he suddenly gets reminded of something and goes "chat...have you ever...you know when you were a kid and you-" cue 20 min of discussion
Oh and he's Japanese that's important
I actually hated his design when he debuted but now I love it.
