I predicted a year ago that, eventually, American vtubers would take over. The Japanese have a stubborn knack for inventing interesting things, then digging in their heels and refusing to change them even when they are surpassed or outdated, and the same would happen with vtubing. Their models are already being surpassed by western indies, and their religious adherence to kayfabe, idolfaggotry and typical Jap overbearing corporate garbage restricts what their talents can actually do. Thus, it is only a matter of time until predominantly American vtubers find bigger and better ways of attracting viewers and leave the Japs behind, stewing in their own little bubble on their island while the rest of the world moves on.

VShojoNEXT is probably the first step in this process.
