People don't buy the cards for the gameplay, in fact, Weiss is probably mechanically the worst designed card game by Bushiroad.

What it is though is the biggest TCG that houses IP from different anime/movies/games/multimedia projects, and is and should be treated as waifu collector gacha.

Or you can fight with your friends to see who is the better waifu - Darth Vader or Marine. (Yes, Weiss has Star Wars)
