and that is exactly the wrong mindset when it comes to borders, leaders of nations are not sitting down and be like "yeah that part looks weird on the map, lets get a diplomat of the other nation so we can smooth out and shorten the border"
people fought tooth and nail for every fucking centimeter not even 100 years ago to the point they rather have border "islands" than give up on land they own.

this is no improvement at all and made it look weirder than before
