Here's a real hot take, one about /vt/ itself

Alot of anons simply attribute the board to being created as a result of /hlgg/ becoming too huge for /jp/, but I think it was made for a reason that has nothing to do with vtubing. At the time there was a mod on /v/ who was notorious for allowing and even making internet celebrity threads like dunky or vinesauce, he even made a post under the mod tag talking about how he kept trying to push for staff to make an e-celeb board. According to leaks he was also one of the highest ranking admins too, so my theory is he worked with shark meido "the infamous /jp/ mod who loved vtubers" to push for /vt/ to get made.

Not for the fact that /v/ mod gave any kind of shit about chuubas, but as a stepping stone into getting /eceleb/ to become a reality. The fact that /v/ mod post happened a month before /vt/ came to be supports that theory.
