I think nobody should be surprised this happened and fandead are retarded for getting in too deep in the first place. Morons that get attached to internet personalities are the equivalent of those celebrity fanboys/girls who are basically mind numbed consumers with no sense of their own identity. So yeah this is all stupid. Go hit on the cute girl at the gas station, or play darts at the bar, join a nerd club, go to church, creep on a waiter. Anything is better spent then getting your heart broke over someone who can't feel love for you anyway. You will always be just words on a screen or a hive mind of random thoughts. We aren't biologically designed to fall in love with that. We are designed to love people. That's why the entertainer can never love you the way you love them. It's all so stupid.
