I don't blame anyone for not reading my lore docs since they're currently a disorganized WIP mess, but for the record the distant end goal actually is a solarpunk society. They're just freshly traumatized atm, give them a few generations. On that note if the terrorist attack isn't going to occur until nearly the 1140s I'm probably going to move the Comfydants' arrival to this timeline up, or they'll have been around for nearly a century at that point. Way too long for my purposes.

The definition of sentience is really quite loose, some would argue that even insects are sentient. The extinction of "all sentience" is simply too broad in scope.

This, on the other hand, would certainly be an option they'd be open to taking. Vitubia lacks the kind of tech level necessary to make that a real possibility, but interacting with a metaphysical realm certainly might be possible through some form of magic... Of course, first the terrorists have to be made aware of the possibility. Comfydants come from a time when all the chuubas are gone, so magic has likewise been gone for millennia -- they aren't used to thinking in terms of what magic can do for them.

Oh for sure, if you're selling my eco-terrorists are absolutely buying. Poisoning wells and such are a quick way to kill a lot of people, but they have unintended consequences on any other animals that drink from that water source. An ego-death poison can be used guilt free!
