>So I was waiting in line at McDonalds to get a juicy Big Mac for lunch, when out of the corner of my eye I spotted a family of raccoons outside.
>So naturally I shouted "Yo look everyone! It's Snuffy and the trash clan!"
>Of course the whole place erupted in laughter and cheering, except the staff. They were all scowling at me! What was their problem? Did they hate Snuffy? How could anyone hate someone as epic as Snuffy?
>I looked around, everyone was staring at me. I was in real trouble.
>I stuttered to my boss, "Boss, you know those raccoons outside? They think I'm their friend! I think they're going to start singing my song to me!"
>The boss smirked. "Yes I know, it's pretty obvious."
>The employees all started to whisper, "The song is about the blimp city, the setting for the 1984 dystopian movie, Rise of the Planet of the Apes!"
>"I know boss, but who cares? Snuffy is so awesome!"
>"Ok Snuffy. Just be careful. I know you've had a rough year. Maybe don't introduce yourself to strangers!"
>"OK boss, I won't do it again. I can't believe you're making me quit! It's my dream! You can't make me leave now."
>"Yes I can. I'm the boss and you're only a junior. I can fire you whenever I want."
>Suddenly my manager's phone rang. "Betsy. You have a customer outside, and it's taking longer than usual to get the order. So I need you to step away for a minute. This will only take a few minutes. I can't just have you standing in the way."
>"OK, but what's going on?"
>"Snuffy just introduced herself to that family of raccoons. She's standing right outside in line. But don't worry, they're not mean or anything. It's just that they're pretty young. I don't think they understand the concept of telling a stranger that you're their friend."
>"Oh."
>"I guess that's a good thing, right Snuffy?"
>"Yes! I've been in this situation a million times, and it always turns out all right."
>"Yes, well. I guess it's time for you to go home now. Be careful."
>"Are you sure? You don't want me to stay?"
>"Yes, Snuffy. You're making me really mad right now. I can't have you making me more mad."
>I hung up. I hadn't known why I wanted to stay. I knew I was more than ready to get out of that place. But Snuffy was so cool! I wanted to stay and hang out with her. I also was pretty sure that I was the best-looking employee in the whole place. And she was pretty cool. Maybe there was something more to her than I thought.
