you guys know what co-ensided with all this talk of thread celebrities and discord messages?
The deletion of Hololive Historian.
Get your head out of your asses and take a deep breath.
If you have a stream to watch, watch the stream. If you don't go spend your limited time on this planet doing something you enjoy.
I won't reply to any of those fucking discordfags because I know just from reading you're a flasefag.
Go enjoy your hobby.

"Unity" and "Trinity" aren't incompatible concepts or even the antithesis of one another. "Unity" is more about how you interact with idols, and their fanbases, that you don't follow or watch. "Trinity" is at it's core a preference for three specific idols, it doesn't have to imply disdain for other idols. It's useful as it describes a trio of idols, Gura, Ame, and Ina, who some users watch as a unit, nothing more and nothing less.
"Unity" has never required that you have no oshi, or a lack of preference for a handful of them. It's about having a mindset of general positivity, or at worst a tolerance towards all the talents, and fan bases, of Hololive. Nothing about the "Trinity" inherently promotes ill-will towards others in Hololive, there are some who use it (read: falseflag) to make other talents seem inferior but that use of the concept in that way is purely from the biases of that user and not from the concept itself.
Two concepts don't necessary have to be on opposites sides. You don't have to be anti-unity to be pro-trinity or vice versa. These threads have a baseline of "Unity" which is only deviated from by the perma-ironic users who need drama, (you)s, and arguments to enjoy posting on a hobbyist board. For such users, as another anon put it, Hololive isn't their hobby, browsing 4chan is.
>tl:dr; No.

I'll put it out there because I can: I kinda get both sides argument on the 5cent thing. I'm not a deadbeat but that clip made me audibly whisper, "damn". I imagine it would be a bigger gut punch to the morale if I did watch Mori.

However, I don't think its something to be terribly outraged about. that five percent is what she's been putting into Hololive, it's what built her audience in the first place. It's what made so many anons go ghost in the first place. This feels more like a "lifting the veil" kind of moment than Mori actively being hurtful to dismissive to her fan.
Although, if you are very attached to Hololive's brand of entertainment, that might be a greater detractor from your entertainment, the reason >we watch Hololive, than you are willing to accept quietly and when I take a step back, I can't really get angry about that. Death of the author doesn't just apply to works of art. Once a thought leaves your brain the interpretation of that thought is up to the one who receives it. I believe that Mori's comments could be received rather negatively.
After hearing that message I can understand why some users would want to vent their frustrations about it in a place they won't get banned. This isn't reddit, it's an anonymous image board. Users should be allowed to vent about their hobby if it stays within the rules of the board. It is also within the right of other users to throw it back in that users face if they desire to, once again, if they follow the rules of the board.
I know I will get many t. chink comments in the replies but I feel that it isn't unreasonable to have a negative reaction to that comment, especially if that five percent is meaningful to that user. However, I will restate that all venting and negative comments should stay within the rules of the board.

I wonder what form of enjoyment it brings. I wonder what form of meaningful existence nourishes itself from negativity. I wonder what form of determination drives one to spend their ever-fleeting time centered around people and things which they despise. I wonder what form of anon flasefags on /hlgg/.
Is (you)r passion negativity? Is (you)r greatest form of entertainment the annoyance of others? Is (you)r only pride the bad taste (you) leave in others mouths? Is (you)r time only to be spent ironically? Is (you)r pastime the hobby site or the hobby itself?
No great love, no true hate. Only bait.
Pathetic.

I've thought about it and I realized why I enjoy Hololive and love my oshi.
It's like a sport to me, with my oshi being a team which plays that sport. Subsequently, I take the form of a fan in this metaphor.
I enjoy it as a spectator sport where I cheer and lose my thoughts in the events of the stream. Additionally, I see these threads as a kind of bar where I go to gather with other fans. There are fans of different teams within a league, and not all of them are good, but I see them as apart of the same group as I since they also enjoy something about the spectacle enough to go to a place for its discussion.

I think that this is why I don't care about antis or (you) baiting, its a sports bar where >we shoot shit while enjoying the spectacle.
I also believe that this outlook is what makes the matter of roommates a nonissue and unimportant in my eyes. I watch for the spectacle my oshi, Ame, puts on. I watch her specifically to enjoy a stream that I feel can only be put on by her, which is why she is my oshi. Or, to put in terms of my sport metaphor, that is why she is my favorite "team". She creates a spectacle I personally find exciting. Therefore, it seems reasonable to me that others might favor the spectacle of another team which runs different formation or implements other tactics.

I love my oshi in the same way I love the Blue Jackets, I pay no mind to the beliefs of the players outside of the spectacle is still thrilling. My love for my oshi is just as the genuine endearment of a fan.

Ignore my ramblings if you don't wish to read them, I just wanted to offer my own thoughts and viewpoint on the hobby.
However, if you are willing, would you tell me how you view the activity of watching Idols? I am always happen to see new points of view.

Alright, I get that it's common practice to lazer focus on criticism and laugh or dismiss it.
But, I will say that laughing at people who get a little upset that someone took a shit on something that they are invested in because they don't share a similar investment is hypocritical at best coming from posters here.
Do you think that users here wouldn't tear down an "influencer" who watches an emotional hololive stream, say a million-sub celebration or concert, and spends the entire video shitting on Hololive and Vtubers in general? Do you think that the fans of that personality wouldn't laugh at or dismiss the discontent of fans of Hololive due to the influencer making light of an event the fans were emotional invested in?
I don't think it's fair to shitpost against Kiara, or other KFP for the NIER stream. I don't condone antiposts or doxxing. But, I see why the posters that are dismissed as /v/fags are upset. Something they care about wasn't given respect they believed it deserved. Isn't wanting something you love to be respected natural?
So, to wrap up this essay I'll just say this: Kiara, and hololive in general, although I love this group dearly, is objectively no more meaningful and does not have any more emotional impact than Automata and this should not be forgotten in the threads to follow.
