He's referring to the Dark Lady. Gura's initial PC was a blind assassin masquerading as a courier with maxed out Dex, Wits, and Manipulation. She thought she could manipulate the shadows around her and be extremely stealthy. It was both That Guy / Coldsteel sort of character, and totally out of context for Hunter: the Vigil. Gura and Calli have done the most off-screen discussion of the TTRPG than all the others, and Gura readily accepted that this wasn't an urban D&D. She spent the most time drafting up her final character, and it shows.

Just as an aside, I don't think the Dark Lady is a horribly stupid idea. Just very out of place for WoD.

To give credit where it's due, /mlp/ was both WAY more obnoxious than vtubing ever has been, and the height of its craze occurred at a time before normie / woke shit was in vogue and sought to infect every aspect of everyone's lives. Add to that the vtuber community has a very hardy, very dedicated cultural protectionist mentality that does its best to fight off unwanted influence from any bad actors (see: the charity groups that were involved in a recent con that HololiveEN was only slightly connected to).

TL;DR- vtubers don't care about growth, numbers, or being accepted. They seek to preserve their corner of the entertainment industry, and have it remain as unpolluted and pure as possible.

Character sheet reworks have been heavily mentioned in several of their streams. Yuul, Watoto, and Kiara went off of their initial sheets for their tutorial sessions (Kiara did a little tweaking beforehand). The only reason Scout is so well-rounded is because Gura went through like four or five drafts and spent her off-hours reading the material, finalizing the sheet the day before her tutorial.

Pic related was her first concept: a blind mail delivery girl who specc'd heavily in stealth, to the point of almost being able to manipulate the very shadows around her. There's a HUGE amount of fanart of her; chumbud were really banking on shadow lady being her pick.

On an unrelated note, while expanding my art folder / shitpost reactionfaces for these threads, the amount of art for Gura's first PC made my head spin. Like dang, either Gura simply has a huge fanbase of drawfriends, or everyone was really banking on the dark lady being Gura's pick.
