Even though he doesn't quite understand, my dad likes to hear about what I'm interested in, so I tell him about Gura. I told him about how she had been completely silent for almost a month and came back for her birthday only to leave again without explaining anything or saying when she'll back again. He thought that was weird and even said "That's kind of discourteous, she at least owes the fans an explanation about what's going on." So it's good to know I'm not crazy; that someone completely removed from the situation and who knows basically nothing about vtubers feels the same way I do. Going by what people here and elsewhere say I'm either a schizo anti or an obsessed parasocial loser. Good to ground yourself by getting input from those you trust instead of letting internet strangers make you doubt yourself.

Remember when following Gura was a fun distraction from reality rather than something you needed to distract yourself from?
