8 days before this, she had a 10,000 yen question corner, I heard she got some backlash for cheap milking, also halfway the stream she changed to any SC is 10,000 if you say so. In that stream she earned as much in super chats as her 3D stream, and double the amount of her last ASMR. The stream is privated, though it's not her only privated stream around that time. I believe this stream made her think about monetization in general, and the ecchi contest is trigger but not the main reason.

I think she feels somewhat guilty and not worthy of the money thrown at her, so mentally it felt easier for her to just disable it and do whatever feels fun without worrying about donations. Also, overall she is the type to try doing things differently and see what happens.
