Learn to find inner peace with yourself, and be true to yourself frist and foremost. Draw in like-minded individuals in the community you cultivate, and cease worrying about what others are doing. It will be slow, it won't be easy, but it's the thing that will bring you long term happiness. Numbers will always leave you wanting, and they will not stick around. The people around you that are here for you, despite whatever other people think or do are the kind of audience you want and indeed should continue to cultivate.
