I guess I should ask before I start getting too indepth, is being a catalognaut something that you're born with/have to be born with the potential for or is it something anyone technically could achieve? Is it heritable at all? Because my ideas so far would be (beyond what's already been mentioned)

>Maglleaci: Needs to achieve the fourth arm and realize that their body can still handle more, becomes a bonafide catalognaut on achieving their 6th one. This would be beneficial not only for multitasking, but for the fact that each Cloak Hand can be enchanted with glyphs. The people as a whole have taken on spider-like traits to imitate their Ancestral Hero's many arms and to symbolize the trickster aspect.

>Vestons: Certain noblemen have a much greater affinity for the 'dark gift', unlocking their catalognaut abilities as they receive it (just remembered I need to add something about that to the lore archive, or make a story of it). They might be able to use sanguimancy to some degree and partially transform themselves into something more fitting for a hunter in the night, during night at least. The people as a whole are split in to, with Thralls being the closest to ordinary humans on the island. Them and the Vestiges represent two sides of their Ancestor Hero, the outdoorsy hiker, golfer, camper, and green hand for the thralls and the more scholarly role went to the Vestiges. Being shut away in their duties made them quite pale, akin to the tales of their Ancestor Hero. Both Thralls and Vestiges begin to believe that the Vestiges are thus closer to Vesper and begin to manifest more of the physical appearance associated with the totally not a vampire... Gonna need some help on where to fit in the dark gift here though which manifests physically as purple eyes rather than the typical red for vestiges along with several smaller enhancements.

>Axols: I'm going to lend the idea Cunt gave way back here, with it manifesting through an Axol with the potential experiencing several near-death experiences through either fighting or other physically strenuous activities. Beyond the abilities I talked about first that all of them would have access to, the Axol catalognaut wouldn't recieve much in the way of special abilities or magic. They'd simply grow to an immense size by human standards, with incredible strength and durability yet also retain a level of speed and dexterity that you wouldn't expect from someone their size. For the people as a whole, the men try to emulate the man who is said to have taken on Schizo Trolls with his bare hands and the canines that are both friend of man and manage to survive in the hostile lands in the north as wolves. The women meanwhile encapsulates more what their society considers ideal based on their Ancestor Hero's tastes, yet retain the strength and the hardworking yet socially relaxed nature that the men have.

>Regii: The Royal Family was founded by a catalognaut and as far as history is concerned at least, it is the only place you'll find people born with the power of a catalognaut. They encapsulate the dominating nature of their legacy, able to issue commands that only the mentally strongest of those it is directed towards would have a chance of resisting. A low class/level catalognaut would be fairly limited in how complex or lasting of a command they could issue. Think like the command spell in DnD. For the people as a whole, their history is clouded in mystery as little to no records were kept of their past prior to meeting the other clans, and what little does exist is either vague or locked away for royal eyes only. It is said however that they were saved from the depths of hell by a blue haired Hero, seeking to redeem them.
aaand I went indepth anyway, lmao.

/mans/ is diverse enough that it's fairly tolerant of all three. Both of natives adopting certain parts of other cultures or starting to follow a different ancestor hero than that of the people they belong to, and of foreigners in general. That said, proselytization of foreign faiths and apostasy are both incredibly taboo as the faith is partly what gives the nation its identity and legitimacy. Undermining it would be tantamount to attempting to undermine the nation and is tried under treason. This usually leads to public hanging.

Okay, here's some basic stuff that I imagined as the more typical adventurer you'd encounter in /mans/
