When I was in elementary school I drew a picture of a megaman character and I was so proud of what I did I thought “wow this looks so good I should do something with this” and so I gave it to a girl I had feelings for and she took it…..but I found it in the garbage later, I had some time to think about it and I realized that, just because the work meant something to me doesn’t mean someone else will see the value, and if I do something nice for someone don’t expect anything back just do the nice thing and move on, that way I won’t get my heart broke from expectations. It helps I’m extremely forgetful so I actually forget when I’ve done something nice for someone I just keep moving forward and just making things or being nice to people is it’s own reward.
