This is the craziest thing about the whole situation, the vast majority of the vtubers were content just treating nijisanji as a job and nothing more and Selen was out here promoting Niji unity, talking up her company with a bit of humble bragging in her first stream with Mumei, pseudo-idolizing Tazumi and trying to make him a figure equivalent to Yagoo, etc.
I wonder where things started to fall apart, the termination notice and Vox both mention May 2023 as being the beginning of the end (manager stamping down on her costume contest I assume), but the notice mentions that this was her final warning, so they had apparently had some problems leading up to it as well. A long while ago Selen had mentioned her manager getting promoted because he had done such a great job with her, I wonder if his replacement just didn't give a shit. Or if they just didn't even hire a replacement at all.
