Yes and no. If a coin gets bought so hard that it is now above the point where it would have "gone up" to, instead of adjusting up, it will "crab". Nothing happens at adjustment. All of the values below are completely hypothetical.
>be coin x
>coin x is worth at $8k at adjustment
>coin x has a good day, 2k subtick, an extra million views, whatever
>coin x SHOULD adjust up to say, $14k tomorrow
>niggers buy coin x up to $16k overnight
>nothing happens at adjustment
Regarding "overbought", what WOULD have happened during the few weeks that was a thing is just that the last line above changes to:
>coin x goes back down towards, but not directly TO $14k
Because the coin was "overbought", it would've gone back down.
If you want an example of "crabbing", these coins crabbed this morning at adjustment:
