People always miss what Miko actually meant when she addressed pekomiko's lack of collabs. It wasn't she was bothered with the shipping itself, it was the fact that said shipping came with annoying expectations. Fans started demanding more of them, more collabs and other things, and they couldn't stand the pressure. Miko said she wants to collab with other members in her own terms, not because she feels it's what she must do to please fans. The problem with shipping as Miko said is that she can't give fans everything they want. Pekora was probably the most bothered out of the 2, given she's a perfectionist and always planifies everything from solo streams to collabs, and her taking distance from Miko probably caused their real friendship to fall apart since both are very autistic and collabing was their way to bond, so when that stopped everything else froze out.
micomet fans probably learnt from what happened to pekomiko, because so far Miko and Suisei don't seem irritated with the shipping even though they keep fans at arms' length
it does help that Suisei is a very different person from Pekora, I don't see her ever throwing away her friendship with Miko over dumb shit
