Going to go on a bit of a rant here:

Westerners (I am one, but I try not to fall into the following category) especially Americans have this weird fixation with celebrities, actors and sports people. Where in they believe you shouldn't be sucessful unless you're the best of the best. It always ends up creating a hostile online environemt and this carries over into their outlook towards Hololive in my opinion. Many of them look at Ame and see she that doesn't have an outright skill, such as singing or drawing. They for some reason view Hololive members as job hunters handing in their resumes, so they have to tick boxes like "Can sing very well", "Can dance", "Can speak multiple languages". Most JP fans don't look at it this way at all and enjoy the personality behind it and how they grow as idols, which is proven point blank by someone like Korone being their most subscribed member when she doesn't have a giant pool of skills (do you count determination to marathon kusoge as one? maybe), but she's popular because of her charm and streaming ability. This works exactly the same way for Ame in my opinion.
