Uhh ... I guess? Akane being a great actress? That's literally all I can think of. I genuinely have no idea what you're on about. I'm talking about shit like someone's twin brother coming in out of nowhere. Im phone posting so I'm glossing over my main points, but a soap opera tends to run on fast paced intrigue as its main plot. That's why primetime dramas are the actual natural continuation of soap operas. That means shows like ER or Breaking bad or the good doctor.

Oshi no ko actually is a pretty slow burn with each arc corresponding to a show or play or movie or concert. Because it's idols and actors, these arcs are closer to sports anime training and getting better stronger more skilled arcs. Unless you wanna say something like slam dunk is a soap opera, you're really stretching it here. If you wanna say oshi no ko is melodramatic... I mean you'd still be wrong because the show is honestly so consistently light hearted in tone despite its tragic background plot that you can't in good faith say that. But you'd have an easier time bullshitting people.
