Minecraft is the peak of parasocial content, especially if you have memories of playing it in a server with friends.
I am old and started playing it all the way back in college and yet the emotional pull it has on me is very strong, I imagine younger kids who have it as a childhood game have something even stronger.
You just watch the girls having fun, building landmarks together, shaping the land and leaving their mark, and you start to get pulled in.
