>Sonny tried his best not to get it to him. Last year, he was the MVP pitcher of his team. Now, he's just on the bench watching his team fight for victory. He trained so hard over the past year.. he worked his butt off to contribute to his team's victory this year. All that went to shit because of an injury. His friends from his province asked him if he was gonna play this year. He was so ashamed he could only muster a small smile before saying no. Because of his carelessness, he was reduced to some useless player who's being carried by his teammates. Gone was the day he stood proud on the podium, wearing his hard earned medal. He asked his coach, Lize, if he could play at least on one inning when victory is already secured but her only response was, “Focus on your recovery.” It would be a lie to say he didn't feel bitter. Athletes are competitive in nature. He wants to show off, he wants to win, he wants to play! But he understands where his coach is coming from. He doesn't have any choice but to deal with this bitterness and just look forward to the future games. He will definitely be back on the pitcher's mound. Next year will be a better year for sure. He will return to the mound and clinch the championship from all of his opponents.
