That's just his sense of humor not clicking with you, I think. It works really well for me because I love deadpan humor and ridiculous things played completely straight, but I can see why it doesn't work for most. I've noticed a decent amount of what I find funny in his streams going completely over his audience's heads.

It's pretty weird for me. I think he's definitely playing a character or at least playing things up in the way he reacts to things. There's some things he's said about himself that feel really relatable to me, though, so even within that 'fakeness' there's elements I find genuine. My personal history is fucked to all hell so I'd understand why that's fake or grating or others, though.

I'd probably recommend checking some of them out and seeing how you feel. Things like him talking about his experiences in Japan or being a crazy Wakamoto fanboy are a side of him you don't really see in his game streams. You might still not like him, and that's fine. Sometimes a certain vtuber might not be a good fit for you, and that's totally fine; you're definitely not alone in not caring about or not liking him. I just like talking about him, and I hope you'll be fine with that too.
