is it just me or has Pomu been more OOC recently? Like it feels like she shifted tact slightly ever since her and Elira's friends got in, in Gen 3

I don't wanna come off as negative for the sake of being negative since I really like Niji EN but it does feel like there's a kind of cliquey-ness around Millie/Elira/Pomu/bird that kinda almost excludes the viewer because it feels like a tight knit bond that formed off stream

Like, sure Lazu got on well from day 1 but they didn't know everything about each other, so as a viewer you didn't feel entirely left out cuz you got to watch them bond more in real time. but this time it feels like the viewer is just supposed to gel with pre-existing friend circles even though there's no real reason to care about their relationships.

Some people might criticise this as being kinda overly expectant of the talents but fundamentally vtubing is a suffusion of ad-libbed story writing and real-time vlogging, so the content has to be (and tends to be) consistent enough that people can make inferences about things that happen between streams too. It just feels slightly odd I suppose when it feels like so much has already transpired off stream that it makes the viewer feel more like an outsider looking in, when conventionally the problem with vtubing is that it's so close and (near) personal that there's a risk of parasocial bonding instead.
