I like MDK2 but it isn't has good as powerslave. I think it's a shame dreamcast had all its FPS energy wasted on online shooters.

Multiplayer shooters are based. Solo FPS's fucking suck since the AI in them is so bad and wandering around mazes looking for keys isn't what I'd call captivating game design.

Unironically this.

Outisde of the obvious stuff (like every Capcom 2D fighter) multiplats with a superior version on the Saturn are fairly rare (usually the PS1 was the lead platform and the Saturn port was an afterthought), but they are out there.

fuck you're right! I forgot how great Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament's single player campaigns were. I love how they had the main character progress through levels and powerups to unlock new areas and abilities.

It showed fps games on saturn were a possibility, at least the lobotomy team behind the game could do it.
The fact that the game is actually good is just the cherry on the top.
The only thing I disliked when replaying it recently is that you are a bit too reliant on ammo drops in the early levels.

Obvious bait. This game was the best fps metroidvania until at least Metroid Prime. I like it even better than MP. It’s definitely the best of its specific genre (Single player metroidvania FPS) that generation.

Its literally Doom and Super Metroid, combined, done really well. Everybody likes it and still does. It makes the Saturn look good so that makes some people all weird. But really who cares what system its on.

Its not like Quake 3, Unreal Tournament or Outrigger on Dreamcast because it wasn’t trying to be. I think Lobotomy accomplished everything they wanted to with this game and its a shame Powerslave 2 got cancelled.

Honestly this game looks adorable, it's as though someone took a Banjo game and put Castlevania enemies in it. Carrie is super cute and agile unlike the Belmonts in the Classicvanias. Will totally play alongside SotN and Chronicles
