ITT, propose a single fix for a game you like that suffers from various issues and flaws. Again, you can only fix ONE thing about it, so choose wisely!

Starting with a fairly uncontroversial one: make it so collected tribals in Jet Force Gemini are immediately saved, so that you don't have to collect them all again if you missed some and just have to find the ones you missed. It was between this and removing the requirement to have all tribals to beat the game, but this one is probably more annoying overall.

good thread. Quake 2 on N64 is a great game with some very impressive tech but the fatal flaw is you can't gib enemies with either shotgun, even if you use quad damage. if it werent for that, i'd say it's almost perfect. kind of strange that they omitted this (and seemingly on purpose), especially given that they went out of their way to add things that even the PC version lacks like muzzle flash.

I've actually done this a lot, so the answer is easy and the same for a massive number of early games. I remove limited continues/lives. This is, by far, the single biggest complaint I get from zoomzooms and other casuals. It's also incredibly easy to do in most cases.
If someone who happens to be a zoomie but otherwise isn't a complete faggot needs to cheat not only the game but himself in order to enjoy it I'd like them to have the option to at least do such faggotry on original hardware. However some flash carts don't/haven't supported cheats and many published cheats have problems.
So I created patched roms with that "fix" that and nothing more. Dozens of my kids friends have been able to enjoy old games without spending hundreds of hours becoming quite the retro gamer that would cut into their league/fortnite/whatever time.

The slowdown in the sega genesis Jurassic park original game. Would put it on par with rampage edition at least and would probably vault it over most other JP games in general. It’s a weird flaw to have imo as the rampage edition was smooth playing.

A stable framerate on banjo tooie would've been nice. I don't know how kazooie was able to run at a mostly steady 30 while tooie ran at 15 at best

AI. Just that.
I'm tired of having the enemy units beeline towards my base instead of making you advance slowly in a perimeter because they can flank you or bypass your marching forces and take your base in a sneak attack, as it could happen in OB64. The game has ninjas, flying characters, swimming characters, day/night cycles and is ripe for those adjustments in the Real Time part of the game, be it on a fan mod or an official remaster.
