So are road rash games the only games that use real scaling and rotation on stock hardware? I think doctor robotnik scales in S3 on marble zone too?? I thought panorama cotton did, but after watching game Hut it seems like most of the games on genesis that do "scaling" are just programming tricks or animated sprites.

Was it really scaling and rotation? I remember the video from a traveler's tales guy where he explained how those effects were faked with sprite animations. Road Rash games had this low FPS look.

Wow Outlander looks insane, particularly when overclocked and aiming the gun out of the windows. Even has a reflection in the mirror ! Shame that the side scrolling parts look generic,

Usually when the effect is fake it hits 60fps. Road rash is really laggy like in the teens, similar to Hard driving. I remember even back in the day it looked slow compared to other games, still look pretty good though.

definitely software scaling it doesn't have the judder you find pseudo scaling like space Harrier 2.

another games that look insane is f1 and kawasaki, those games are half 3d with solid frame rate and solid gameplay, nothing like other 3d games like lhx or f15.

Kawasaki is crazy too I've known about it for a while. F1 looks pretty good with a good frame rate although I do like F1 on Sega CD way more advanced visually just not as smooth I'd say
