I played this map alone more than many other people played games period. Hunted was my life for a couple years. My best bro would come over after school and we'd crank up Nightwish and Metallica and drink mountain dew and just play fucking Hunted over and over on exclusive Hunted-only servers. It was incredible. It's amazing how well-balanced this mode was despite being intentionally as asymmetric as possible. It was beautiful to watch the arms race of strategies unfold. It shouldn't have worked as well as it did, but but did. It was astonishing they didn't include it in TF2, I never fully got into that sequel solely because of that.

Inferno always felt like the most balanced map to me. People say nuke is CT sided, but if you have a solid upper rush it becomes very easy for T to win. Yes the cpl maps (fire, mill, strike) are also pretty well balanced. The problem with D2 is really just the mid, but it's a big flaw. Can easily be solved with smokes, but you shouldn't have to do that to leave spawn safely. It's the idea behind it that ruins it. Losing one person crossing mid is not a big deal in a 12v12 pub, but it's 20% of your team gone in a 5v5 at the start of the round. It's dumb.

>I hate how CSGO has casual matchmaking which destroyed the soul of the game

I was saying this to a lad at work, I must have come across as such a boomer, but it's true. Back in the day you would just find a server on server browser and if you liked it, it would become your home. I used to play on a CS:S server years ago, I can't even remember the name of it, but it was some indie gaming website. gameruk.net or something to that effect and we were all regulars. We even formed a clan and joined a league but most of the time we'd be in a Teamspeak server talking shit and we'd have tons of fun.
