Did a bit of looking and I found the zip that was posted in the thread on my HDD. 350mb compressed with what seems to be everything needed to play the game, probably a copy of the install directory. I'll upload it provided I can find a site that will let me upload without an account. Scanned it with Malwarebytes and there was nothing according to it, but I will not vouch that it's 100% confirmed safe.

Most jap mech games are no depth action shooters (see: robotech battlecry, daemon x machina, most gundam / ish games)
Armored core is the lone exception and even then it doesnt have the weight of mechwarrior/shatteredsteel/chromehounds

AC mechs feel more like janky than weighty. They're move way too fast yet have the maneuverability of a tractor. The level design is often too cramped to make up for the poor maneuverability. You'll end up bunny hopping like a retard rather than taking out enemies systematically and strategically. Technically, yes and no. You can improve certain aspects to make your AC perform better on foot, but boosting around is definitely the way *just look at the intros".

I kind of agree with you here, AC3 can get pretty obnoxious at some points because of it. But most AC games give you some pretty decent space to breath.

Yes, bunny hopping is extremely effective in cramped areas, but you can do just as fine with some strafing, side boosting and slashing, if that's not enough, change your legs to hover legs, that'll help you a little.
