Quickly downloaded the rom to see what this was like. Bruteforced my way through the menus and made a character. Game even asks for your blood type which is weird. After a cutscene which shows the 7 man Genji group performing at a stadium named after them, you get dumped into a small town and have to go house to house to ask people questions. I’m assuming you question them about the skates but since I can’t read Nippon, it’s anyone’s guess. There’s a park in the middle of the map and when you go in you get greeted by a woman who looks scarily like log lady from Twin Peaks, except she’s holding a pig or an owl or a bat or a deformed cat. Something like that.

You guys need to learn what the fuck this term means. It means very low quality games produced very cheaply and quickly to capitalize on a big market. It is not synonymous with "bad game". A game might be made with good intentions but end up being bad.

Looking up gameplay footage, too much care was taken in the game, and the sprite work is too good.
